A NEW LOOK AT U.S. RADIOACTIVE WEAPONS
During the current Iraq War the U.S. use of radioactive DU weapons increased from 375 tons used in 1991 to 2200 tons. Geiger counter readings at sites in downtown Baghdad record radiation levels 1,000 and 2,000 times higher than background radiation. The Pentagon has bombed, occupied, tortured and contaminated Iraq. Millions of Iraqis are affected. Over one million U.S. soldiers have rotated into Iraq. Today, half of the 697,000 U.S. Gulf War troops from the 1991 war have reported serious medical problems and a significant increase in birth defects among their newborn children.
The effects on the Iraqi population are far greater. Many other countries and U.S. communities near DU weapons plants, testing facilities, bases and arsenals have also been exposed to this radioactive material which has a half-life of 4.4 billions years.

As I have said repeatedly, the USA is presently ruled by extreme evil elitist who do not give a rip about human life, but only care about money and power. Let's say you have a tank coming in your general direction. Let's say you also have access to a 50 cal and DPU rounds. Are you really going to concern yourself with the side effects?
ReplyDeleteAlso consider this, a lot of Iraqis make money by robbing the dead soliders and stealing stuff from destroyed tanks. Even when they've been warned something is radioactive. So its not like they are just innocent bystanders this stuff was dumped on. Terrorist groups over there use the stuff too if they can get their hands on it. And they have been known to keep it unsheilded in the same place where they sleep.
I'm not saying it's right to use it, but a DPU round does make a nice hole in a tank or most anything else. Just the same, some say it may not have been right that we ended WWII by nuking Japan, but a few nukes is well worth the lives of the millions of us soliders that would have died. Side effects be damned.

I know what you mean, Bob. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see these photos of innocent children who did nothing to deserve such horrific fate. Ever since I did this post I've been up late thinking of how tragic this is, and it make me even more infuriated at the wicked leaders of our country. I can hardly wait for judgment day so all these sick bastards can get what’s coming to them.
Now I not an expert on military weapons, but there has to be another alterative to D.U. that could destroy the enemy's tanks and get the job done within reason. I know war isn’t supposed to be pretty, and people are going to lose their lives in the process, but there is something inherently evil and corrupt for our government to deliberately, and permanently poison the atmosphere of an entire nation while causing life-threatening illnesses not only to most of the citizens, but to the U.S. troops who are following orders to bring “freedom” to the Iraqi people. Where is the freedom in getting cancer or other toxic diseases, and having your children be brutally deformed, so much so that they are unrecognizable as human beings?
You don't suppose the Iraqi's could have been effected by Hussein's own ambitions? Such as nuclear weapons devolpment, and other chemical and biological weapons devolped and used?
ReplyDeleteIn the late 80's Hussein's attacks against nothern Iraq against people known ethnically as Kurds, became increasingly destructive. This was just before Desert Storm. Of course, he committed attrocites all over Iraq, not just up north. And against Iran.
